Clay & Vine Interiors was founded in 2022 by Jamie Meulmester, a biomedical engineer with more than a decade of experience working on complex, life-saving medical devices for Fortune 500 companies. While her career was rooted in science and innovation, Jamie’s passion for design grew through multiple home renovation projects, where she immersed herself in the work of her favorite designers, learning one project at a time. As friends and neighbors began seeking her advice and requesting design support, she realized her creative eye and attention to detail could help others transform their spaces. This led to the official launch of Clay and Vine Interiors, a firm dedicated to creating beautiful and functional homes.
Originally based in Los Angeles, California, Clay & Vine Interiors quickly gained traction, working on a range of projects from one-room furniture selections to full-scale gut renovations. In 2024, Jamie returned to the Midwest, where she has deep roots, with the goal of re-establishing herself in the local interior design industry. Now, she is dedicated to helping clients in and around her hometown find beauty where they live, combining her analytical background with a designer’s touch to create spaces that are both inviting and inspired.
